Welcome to the Online Training!

Pandemic outbreaks like the current virus SARS-CoV-2 and the disease COVID-19 have historically occurred every once in a while. Each time there may be tens of thousands or more in casualties. Better understanding a new virus may take up to a few years. Some viruses still may not be completely overcome, for example influenza.

Not everyone will catch the virus and not everyone who caught the virus will die. Those who have a more vigorous life force are less prone to become ill with the virus as well as more likely to recover even if having caught the virus. People who are physically weak, have weak immune systems, or weak vital life force are at a higher risk of getting sick or losing their life to such viruses.

A weak life force, life function, immunity, lung function, heart function, MS, etc are not conditions that a person can easily recover from by simply taking a walk, sleeping or taking some medicines. Is there a way to more holistically, quickly, deeply, simply, economically and naturally improve one’s vital life force, life function and health? Zhineng Qigong aims at being such a method. Online Practise is a Success – More Sessions

After just a week we can see that our new training method – practising together online – has been very well received. Several have told us that they love the practise and expressed great joy and gratitude to be able to practise together in a big group. Here are some comments:

“It was a great experience. It felt as if the leader was standing in the room next to me, a very luxurious feeling. The qi-field was almost tangible.”

“It helps very much. Both the feeling of having a lot of Qigong friends out there and the practise itself.”

“Great practise – the headache I had had all day long just disappeared! And I fell asleep easily in the evening.”

“We just love this opportunity!”

“I just want to say thank you very much for introducing online practise. I am very grateful and happy about this. It feels like a real luxury, and I am looking forward to the next session. Many thanks for the strong qi-field.”

“It was very, very good to practise in this way, we felt qi very strongly. Perfect! We look forward to the following sessions.“

“Thank you for a lovely session, I got a Summer Course feeling.”

“The online practise feels very nice.”

“A real everyday joy that we can practise together. I am very happy.”

“What a difference to practise together, compared with standing alone on the green, Chinese carpet in my living room.”

“I think the practise is super, the qi-field feels like a Summer Course.“

“Thank you for this excellent initiative. After practising last night I felt alert and still felt alert when I woke up at 6 o’clock this morning. Usually I feel rather low in the morning so this was nice.”

”It’s like Summer Course in my living room!!”

After having tested for a few days several have enrolled in more sessions than they did at the beginning. We have more than 200 participants in total and the number is increasing. The highest number we have had has been almost 150 participants practising together during a session.

Now we are adding more sessions for Summer Course participants. Whether you have booked 3, 4 or 7 days weekly you now get two more weekly sessions for free during the remaining weeks of April. On Saturdays and Sundays at 8 – 8.45 pm BST we can practise together in the qi-field. During these sessions we will use the first two tracks of the La Qi CD that Su Dongyue recorded during the Summer Course.

If you have not signed up yet, do it now. Give yourself the opportunity to let the qi-field help you boost yourself and strengthen your immune system. This – according to Dongyue – is the best way to resist viruses, such as the current Corona.

HAPPY EASTER!

How to Manage the Virus

The practice of Qigong is a good way for us to boost vitality, improve vital life functions and promote our health. Enhancing your understanding of Qigong, establishing confidence and belief that you will succeed, persistence in training in our qi-field and maintaining emotional stability can make your practice more productive and effective.

During today’s pandemic, medical and protective supplies may potentially become scarce, and the virus is deemed to be highly contagious. While our attitude is not to be afraid of any sort of virus, we nevertheless do not want to contract it. In the world today, there are a number of ways of managing that could be useful to consider and to learn from. Below are some pieces of information we have gathered, as well as things that one is advised to pay attention to, in relation to this pandemic. We hope they can help you.

Basic principles and measures of protection during a pandemic

The Covid-19 disease is mainly spread via respiratory droplets from symptomatic individuals. The virus can also spread to individuals and by close or direct contact with objects and surfaces that are contaminated. As long as a person is not in contact with the virus, they will not become contaminated and get sick from it. Therefore, unless necessary, it is advised to avoid going out. If we need to go out we shouldcarefully guard ourselves against the disease.

The basic principles of epidemic prevention are:

1. Wear a good quality face mask

Wearing a good quality face mask is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of air droplets. Wear a face mask when going out to public places, such as on public transport and the hospital.

2. Wash your hands diligently

Keep good hand hygiene at all times. Wash your hands:

After getting home

  • After coughing and sneezing
  • When taking care of patients
  • Before, during and after food preparation
  • Before having meals
  • After using the toilet
  • When the hands are dirty
  • After handling animals and animal waste

Wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds and rinse with running water, use hand alcohol sanitizer. Avoid hands touching mouth, nose and eyes; when sneezing or coughing, cover your mouth and nose with your elbow.

3. Go out less frequently

Reduce any unnecessary traveling. Avoid going to areas where the disease is endemic.

4. Do not gather in groups

Avoid visiting crowded places, especially spots with poor air mobility. Keep a distance of more than 2 meters

(uk government directive) from other people. Avoid speaking face-to-face at close range.

5. Open windows to ventile rooms frequently

Open windows at least 2-3 times a day for 20-30 minutes each time. Keep warm when ventilating to avoid catching a cold.

Attention points when getting home after having gone outside during the epidemic

1. After getting home, put the shoes and outerwear in a well-ventilated place by the door.

2. After getting home by public transportation, one may wipe the coat with 75% alcohol to clean it.

3. Wash your hands thoroughly (see above).

4. Wipe the door handle, mobile phone, and keys with disinfectant wipes.

5. The outdoor clothing should be washed as soon as possible.

Attention points when shopping

1. When you go out shopping, make plans in advance and try to buy everything in one go.

2. Wear a face mask, gloves, hat, and glasses when going out shopping.

3. Avoid taking the public transportation. If you need to travel, keep a good distance from other people.

4. In shopping areas, keep a distance from other people and avoid very crowded parts.

5. When selecting products, you may put a plastic bag onto your hand to avoid direct contact with the products.

6. After choosing the purchase items, leave as soon as possible, and do not stay in a place for too long.

7. When queuing to pay, keep at least 2 meters away from other people.

8. Try to use bank cards for the payments, and avoid using cash.

9. After returning home, wash your hands immediately with liquid soap and running water. Then disinfect the purchased items, including your own clothes.

10. To avoid having to go to the store, you may shop online and ask for delivery to your home. Remove the outer packaging outside the door after receiving the order. Wash your hands promptly.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle to enhance immunity

1. Ensure a healthy diet that contains comprehensive and diverse nutrients, including vitamins, minerals and proteins. Eat more garlic, onion, milk, beef and eggs.

2. Ensuring proper exercise can promote blood circulation and improve metabolism; but excessive exercise will reduce immunity due to fatigue.

3. Ensure adequate sleep, as research shows that long-term lack of sleep will worsen the immunity. Adults normally need approximately 7 to 8 hours of sleep per day.

4. Ensure a harmonious mood, as a bad mood will not only reduce the immunity, but can also disrupt diet and sleep.

5. Maintain sound living habits, quit smoking and reduce alcohol consumption.
