Thank you for the Summer Course 2026!

We have now completed this year’s Summer Course. For nine days, we trained together, enjoyed wonderful practice, shared a strong sense of community, and experienced many positive results. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this year’s Summer Course such a memorable experience!

During our Summer Courses, we train extensively with a strong focus on improving both physical health and mental well-being. At the same time, the days include plenty of opportunities to rest and recharge – with swimming, coffee breaks, conversations, naps, or simply enjoying some quiet time. All of this takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Hjälmared Folk High School.

“Here you meet people of all ages, from different backgrounds and different countries. And you have ‘real’ conversations that just keep flowing. For me, those conversations have been almost as important as the training in the training hall.”

“The calm! What calm! Unbelievable when we are well over a hundred people training together. Magical in the training room!”

“Everyone is so nice here. Even though they don’t have to. A soft and very friendly atmosphere.”

Here are a few photos from the course. Follow us on social media as well for more highlights!

The first day of the Summer Course begins with check-in, where everyone is shown to their accommodation. Participants can choose between single rooms, shared twin rooms, or smaller dormitories. The dormitories accommodate around 5-8 people and are partitioned into separate sleeping areas, providing both a sense of community and personal privacy.

For those staying in the dormitories, we prepare the rooms and arrange comfortable mattresses for everyone to sleep on. This year, several participants commented that they genuinely enjoyed staying in the dormitories and even preferred them to single or twin rooms.

With a private sleeping area of your own while still sharing the space with others, the dormitories offer a wonderful balance of privacy and community – and create a warm, cozy atmosphere.

On the evening of the first day, we gather in the school’s auditorium for an introductory lecture. Throughout the course, we also come together in the auditorium on a few other evenings for shared talks and activities.

Throughout the course, we practice together in the training hall, with regular breaks for meals served here three times a day. Having all meals prepared and taken care of allows participants to fully relax and focus on the training, without having to think about cooking or other everyday responsibilities.

During the course, several participants took the opportunity to share how practicing Qigong has influenced their everyday lives – from improved health and greater well-being to positive changes at work and in daily life. You’ll be able to watch their stories on our social media channels.

During the breaks, many participants enjoy sitting outside to eat and relax together. We were fortunate to have nice weather mostly during the course, making it the perfect opportunity to spend time outdoors.
