Project Stockholm 2006 ended

Project Stockholm 2006 ended with a training weekend on April 1-2. Over 80 persons participated in the training weekend, most of them (50) as participants in Project Stockholm 2006. The project comprised 60 hours of training: three weekends, 12 hours each and two evenings a week of two hours each for six weeks. The training intensity and attendance have been high during the project, 43 participants have participated in at least 50 of the 60 hours.

The evaluation was performed by means of a lung function test, a so called PEF-measurement, and by means of a questionnaire. Here are some highlights from the results: 69 % of the individuals that were depressed or feeling low now feel better or much better. The corresponding number for stress is 78 % and for neck and back pain 64 %. The same improvement rate, 64 %, is seen for those with sleeping problems. The lung function test showed an average improvement of 23% for the five with the lowest reading before the project. A total of 28 out of 43 saw an increase in lung capacity, even though most of the participants had normal lung readings at the beginning of the project.

Arguably the most important effect of the project, however, is that many now have a better understanding of the training and through this have obtained an efficient tool for actively improving their life quality from now on.

You can read more about the training weekends in our course reports. We will also publish a report from the project under Tests & Publications / Research and projects.

Norwich – our first course venue in England

We have had our first course in England, a basic course in Hold Qi Up in Norwich on March 25-26. The initiative for the course came from Flo, who participated in our 9-day summer course last year. Through this course she didn’t only get a group to practice in, they now also have a strong Qi-field to help them with their training.

You can read more about the course under Results/Course reports.

Maybe you would like us to come to your town? We have qualified teachers that can teach courses in different languages: English, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, German and Dutch. We would be happy to come to you to give courses or participate in tests. You are welcome to contact us.

Hold Qi Up with NHR in Gothenburg

A Weekend Course with participants from NHR with training once a week for the following five weeks was carried out on 28 January. The participants displayed great motivation and an impressive fighting spirit, especially considering the fact that many of them had rather big problems caused by their illness. Per, who initiated the course and the training, was there to lend a helping hand and to motivate his friends. So did Magnus who, not content with waiting for this course, joined a Weekend Course in November last term. Magnus has MS and in a short time he has found great improvements. Directly after his first course he became much more energetic and it has kept that way since. Both his wife and his parents, who have seen the improvements first hand, were inspired to join the course this weekend.

Some of the other participants achieved fine results already during these two days and this was good information to everybody, increasing their trust in the method and what the training can give us in terms of health improvements: “I suffer from MS and that makes you tired very often. I joined a course 2½ months ago and that made me energetic. I have continued to practise at home every day and I am still energetic – it’s incredible!” “I suffer from MS and I managed to keep my eyes shut throughout a whole section and at the same time I was able to keep my balance with my eyes closed – I haven’t been able to do that for a long time!”

Per has improved a lot since his first course and for us who see him regularly it is a joy to see his improvements continue. He is continually getting better trough his training and during the Summer Courses the improvements are quicker and more marked. Since last Summer we also find a great change in the clearness of his speech. We did not know Per before he started to practise Zhineng Qigong but we would think that he is now pretty close to his original speech pattern.

The training sessions are continuing and several of the participants have applied for the coming Weekend Courses this Spring and we are looking forward to continued improvements with joy and excitement. New CD launched at the Winter Course

This years Winter Course is getting closer. It will be our 4th Winter Course and just like before the course will be held in Bollnäs. Many of those that joined the course before long for the calm and nice winter of Bollnäs and the powerful training in the Qifield.

Last year we launched a CD at the Winter Course that was suited for the intensity and amount of training we get from the Winter Course. A lot of participants have used this CD for their training during the past year. The find that they by doing this have been helped in enhancing and improving the good results that they got from the Winter Course.

Some persons that only joined our basic Shenxin Qigong course, and also some Winter Course participants, have asked for a CD that is suited for the basic Shenxin Qigong course. We have only been able to offer a tape during these courses.

Shenxin CD for the basic course So this year we also launch a CD at the Winter Course, but this time it is a CD that is suited for the basic course. Directly before the 5 days Winter Course we arrange a 2 days basic Shenxin Qigong course – our first Shenxin Qigong course during 2006 – and at that course the CD will be made available for the first time. After that the CD will be made available at all our Shenxin Qigong courses.

New project in Stockholm this spring

In the beginning of this year, we conducted Project 2005, a six week training period of a total of 60 hours. Since this project was so appreciated and brought such good results to the participants, we will now arrange a new project with the same structure: Project Stockholm 2006. All are welcome to participate. Participating in a project, and thus practicing more together with other students during a limited period of time under the supervision of competent teachers, increases the chances of tangible health impacts. During Project 2005, the evaluation showed that e.g. 85 % had seen an improvement or a significant improvement in their depression problems. As many had seen an increase in their energy levels. The number for stress problems was 83 %. The lung capacity had increased for 87 % of the participants. You can read more about Project 2005 and earlier projects on our web page under “Tests and publications” – “Research and Projects”.

Project Stockholm 2006 is opened with a lecture by Su Dongyue on Thursday, February 9 in the ABF House, Sveavägen 41, at 7-9 p.m. The lecture costs SEK 100, but is free for project participants and members of our affiliated patient associations. After this we will have a basic course in the center of Stockholm on Februrary 18-19 and two training weekends on March 11-12 and April 1-2, which is when the project ends. During these six weeks we will have group practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the time is preliminarily set to 6-7 p.m.

For beginners, the total price for the entire project is SEK 3200, unless you are a member of one of our affiliated patient associations. They have a discount of SEK 800 and thus pay SEK 2400. This, SEK 2400, is also the price if you have participated in one of our basic courses in HQU. If you have participated in one of our earlier projects or one of our 9-day courses, your price is SEK 1600. There is a limited number of places available, and the early bird catches the worm. The day you pay the course fee on our Pg 612 09 45-8 is considered your registration date. Depending on availability, you can also participate in one or more of the training weekends even though you don’t participate in the project.
