
The first weekend of September the first Hold Qi Up course was held in Alingsås. Eight of the 21 participants were new. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant and many participants experienced improvements. After the course about ten participants have gathered to practice together on Monday evenings which is much appreciated. Here are some of the improvements the participants in this course have experienced:
Help with encephalitis
“I came in contact with Zhineng Qigong more than 20 years ago. For many years I have practiced La Qi but not Hold Qi Up. In February this year I got encephalitis and my left side of the body and my face was paralyzed. A friend told me about this course. It feels like a second chance for me, that one can come back to this qigong. I still have dizziness but I got a lot of help here today. I have found my center line and my body. These exercises helped me to get back into my body. I actually feel that I live inside my body again. So I’m very grateful.”
Help with stress, joint problems and lumbagos
“Practicing qigong is good for me. To practice before work has helped me to prevent stress, to manage my work better. I’m lucky to live in Nossebro where the summer course is held. I’ve had problems with my joints and I got cytotoxin for that. But I decided after a half year with cytotoxins that I should not take that any more, after this summer course. And I haven’t. I haven’t had a single lumbago after I started with qigong. I often had lumbagos before, because of an accident. I’m grateful to come to group trainings near home now. I’ve practiced at home until now. I’m very grateful for this.”
Help with changing anxiety into security
“I’ve got a lot from qigong. One of the things one appreciates is the security it has given. Before I’ve carried around some kind of anxiety that I don’t really know the cause of. I don’t if it was stress or what. But that has disappeared over time. Nowadays I feel quite calm and secure. That is quite a pleasant feeling. Than you for a nice weekend.”
