Hold Qi Up Trondheim [2022-11-19]

A joyful weekend course with a lecture was arranged in Trondheim. One of the participants drove several hours to join the group.

After 3 years of waiting, the time to be physically gathered was finally here. The participants met with expectations and excitement. As one of them expressed: “The body must be reminded of training, both physically in a group and online”.

The result was expressed, among other things, as physical improvements and capacity similar to experiences from Summer Courses. One of the participants felt as if they had received ‘new knees’. Participating was described as being on a boat and feeling that it carries you.

Comments from course participants:

Better balance. Steady legs.

“I have been troubled by stiffness in my neck and shoulders, and am surprised by my mobility there now, especially that I can lift my arms so far up. I also had a good night’s sleep. My balance is significantly better. Usually, I have a lot of shivering when I move. That has now subsided. My legs have gained a firmer balance during the course. I had not noticed my feet during the course. Suddenly I became aware that I could actually feel the entire soles of my feet on the floor.”

Energetic

“My main challenge has been stiff shoulders and neck. I now feel quite relaxed in my neck and shoulders. I usually go to bed early in the evening; about at 19 – 20 p.m. After the 1st day of the course, however, I was awake and energized far into the evening.”

Softer joints

“I feel a warmth and well-being in my body. My joints have become softer and better over the weekend. I can move better. I become motivated by seeing that I can perfect my qi here.”

Pain disappeared. New learning.

“I have been suffering from chronically swollen nasal membranes. This is much better now. During the course I have become steadier, gained better balance, and I can feel the soles of my feet on the floor. Pain in the left part of my back and right foot is gone today. My body has been stiffer during Covid. I realize that the body needs to be reminded of training. It is important to exercise regularly, and I am now motivated to start both online- and group training again. I sense an inner peace here. I have been suffering from a whiplash injury on my left side. Today the pain is gone. Something has slipped at the bottom of the spine. My back- and feet pain are also gone today. It feels lovely.

I feel the good community here. Since I was little, I have been used to protecting myself. It felt very good to open up my body in safety; I dared to stretch out my arms – towards life and love. I have learned in a new way on the course. Something is unlearning, and something has been opened up for new learning, as if I have gained new cells.”

Cough disappeared

“Before this course, it has been a difficult and demanding time for me, i.e., with a family history I have lived with all these years. I have had a respiratory problem since September, and I have been open to all infections. The corrections have been good. On the 2nd day of training my troublesome coughing suddenly disappeared. I could not believe it. Now I know that it is possible to live a little more.”

“New knees”

“I practice Zhineng Qigong daily. It is fun to have group courses again. I was a bit surprised when we started the course. During the squat I thought: “Is this my body?” I could bend deep all the way down, and I suddenly felt a capacity like the experience on a Summer Course. I now have got ´new knees´. I have had pain in my shoulder for a long time. Now it is much better. I am now happier and more positive than usually. Bright and light-hearted, like the weather is nice today.

I now feel free from worries, not the usual “What if”-thoughts. Yesterday, during training, it felt like I was on board a boat, thinking: “This boat carries.”

Slept well. Easy to focus.

“It’s been a relaxing course, fantastic corrections, and a great group to train with. On these courses, I usually need time before I ´land´. Gathering focus this time was surprisingly easy, more than ever. Last year I was very busy. I have been extremely tired, and I have not slept well. Something has happened on this course. During yesterday’s training, my body and mind became very relaxed, and I slept well last night. My shoulders and neck have always been stiff, and I have suffered from migraines. During this course I was able to lift my arms in a relaxed/flexible way. I used to freeze, and my fingers have been freezing cold. I now feel very warm. I have more energy, and my icy fingers are also warm. Life smiles.”
