Hold Qi Up Suffolk 2017-10-07

Basic course Huntingfield, Suffolk 7-8 October 2017

The course was held in the lovely village hall in Huntingfield. Participants came from the area around Huntingfield and also all the way from Liverpool and even Paris, to learn Hold qi up for the first time or to enhance their movements.

Summer course was a wonderful experience

”I have been practicing qigong since the first course in the U.K at 2006 and this year went to Summer course for the first time. It was a wonderful experience and has lifted my whole practice to a new level. Qigong is my friend. If I have aches and pains-I just do qigong- it´s inside me now. I´ve had some difficult years but I feel better now than for a very long time, it´s lifted my health and spirits. I want to say that it is always worth coming to a weekend course- I learn something every time.

Calm, patient and tolerant

Clever and beautiful practice

”When I first learned qigong some years ago I practiced every day for the first three years, but then I drifted off to other things. The last two months life has been really hard and I practiced a couple of times. Then a week ago I was on a mountain in Wales and I practiced in a crevice in the rain. Since then I have practiced every day. It´s such a clever and beautiful practice.”

”I have enjoyed what I´ve learned this weekend and look forward to practice.”

”My first practice was 11 years ago. I came back to it in the last two months. It is lovely that my partner also practises and we can practice together. I had pain in my leg 11 years ago when I began and I´ve had it again this weekend – obviously it´s something I need to work on!”

Qigong helped through difficult time

”I love it – it is like a cocoon. Qigong helped me every day during the difficult time of my husband´s illness – it was a time when I did not have to think. I would wake up in the night and practice then. I managed on very little sleep because of qigong. I´ve had a lot of benefits to my health and to my nervous system. Qigong is good if you have to go through something really difficult.”

Qigong sorted my back out

”I´ve been practicing every day for the last five years. I love it, it glues me together. I practice every morning for 40 mins. I like to do La Qi first as I think it makes the Hold Qi Up more powerful. It´s helped me through difficult times, sorted my back out. I was achy but I´m fine now. It helps with anxiety. My partner knows I`m a different person after I´ve practiced.”
