This semester, like previous years, we arrange two courses in Hold Qi Up. The semester’s first course took place at Södergården 7-8 September. Beginners together with experienced students participated for two days in our strong, nice and harmonious qi-field. To have experienced students participating on a basic course is a great help for the beginners. One of them said with an appreciative touch: “It feels like I have many teachers on the course”. The atmosphere was warm and hearty and there were many discussions on the pauses. Many of the beginners joined the group training the week after the course.

Calm
”Great course. I become calm after a Qigong course. The best result from practising Qigong is the calmness.”
“I have practised for fourteen years. You never get perfect, there´s always something more to discover. My mental state affects my surroundings, I can notice it at my job, I don´t take things personal anymore. The social aspect of the course is great, thanks to all of you.”

“It´s important to feel good when you work with people. Thanks for the course, it was great to meet all the beginners. Qigong has had a great impact on my physical and mental state. I used to have eating disorders, feeling low and week knees. When I was nineteen I was in a very bad state. I’ve also felt how I could benefit from the training and keep calm when I handled a client who was really angry.”
Morning stiffness
“This is my first course. I´m usually very stiff every morning, I stumble on my way to the bathroom. This morning I wasn´t stiff, I almost ran to the bathroom.”
Eczema
”I have practised for 14 years, my sister and I motivate each other so we don´t stop practising. My eczema disappeared after I started to practise Qigong. I practise Hold Qi Up every day and I got more conscious about what one can get from Qigong after I participated on my first Summer Course. Life affects you in different ways, then it´s good to be able to help oneself. I have been burnt out and I had stomach problems, I have had great use of Qigong to get better.”
Sleep
”This was my first Qigong course, usually I don´t sleep well, but this night I had a good night’s sleep.”
Pain in the nerves
”I had a lot of problems with my back, pelvis and feet. I could feel this morning how my feet were softer than they usually are.”
Physical and mental
”I have practised for 16 years. I have benefitted greatly from practising Qigong, both mentally and physically. I dare to do things now. I love to socialize with you, my second family. I usually impress my sons, I can do things they can´t.”
”It´s a fantastic tool to have, it can handle both mental and physical problems. It´s hard to affect things in your surrounding, then it´s excellent to have Qigong. Qi can go deeper the more you practise. It´s kind of a magic method. The training can handle things I didn´t think was possible, it´s great to have the chance to affect ones health in this way.”
Bunion
”I have had issues with bunion this autumn, it hurts quite much. Today it feels much better.”
Back Pain
”I have practised for seven years. The training makes my back, shoulders and neck to become much better. It´s hard to compare with the time before I started to practise Qigong. Nowadays when I join a course my body feels comfortable when we do the exercises. It´s a great method to have when your problem can´t be solved with a pain killer. You don´t have to feel so scared.”
