Hold Qi up Stockholm [2011-02-05]

The spring terms first basic course in Hold Qi Up was held in Rågsveds Folkets Hus. The atmosphere was positive and the participants practiced concentrated in the strong qifield.

From the participants comments:

Energy, Better concentration

“I’ve been thinking about why I practice qigong and why I continue to do so daily. The first thing comes to mind is the immense energy I get. It varies from course to course and day to day, but I see that I get a lot of energy from qigong. When I started practicing I was a participant in a project with breast cancer association and back then the goal was that I would keep myself healthy, but it soon turned out that I got so much more. I became more soft in the body, I got a lot better concentration. It has also became easier for me to talk in front of other people. Qigong has given me very much and that’s why I continue to practice.”

Felt good

“I noticed how good I felt after just a few hours here yesterday. I know that qigong is good for me.”

Practice

“I will choose to practice and make it a part of life.”

Mental, stress

“When I look back at the past year, I know I’ve had a stressful year. It’s been busy at work and I’ve had things in the family to take care of. The job will be pretty busy for a while ahead also. It is pretty impressive that I can do it when I was on sick leave for two and a half years because of stress problems. This was before I started practicing qigong. I had many mental troubles such as stress and nervousness as I started practicing. Now I have a much easier life to live.”

Breathe lighter

“I felt so at home on the course. I have lung problems. I personally notice no difference, but my daughter says I breathe lighter. But I experience that I feel better when I practice.”

Migrain, Talk in front of others

“I had a lot of migraines before I started practicing. Now I have no migraines at all. It was also hard for me to talk in front of other people, it has become much better, I’m not entirely comfortable still, but it is much better.”

Hard work, Healthy

“When I was 25 I felt I had to quit my job because it was too hard physically. I felt that my body could not cope with another five years. But after I started practicing qigong I’ve started to work again and my body can handle it. Furthermore, I can not remember last when I was sick. I had a little cold last year, but not that I was bedridden. Except for that, I can not remember a single thing.”
