A group of exercise-hungry Qigong practitioners gathered in Mälarhöjden for four days of intensive practice together. It was the first longer course in Stockholm after our long pandemic break. The joy of seeing each other again and practicing in our strong qi-field attracted people also from Norway and Finland to participate.
Participants expressed gratitude to have the opportunity to practice in a group again. Several also expressed gratitude for our online training, which had become a great friend and help in everyday life.
From the participants’ comments:
Feeling in La Qi
“Very nice to practice together. At first I wasn’t supposed to be able to participate but then I got the opportunity to be and it’s been very nice. I got a great feeling of La Qi that I hadn’t had before.”
Good combination
“Nice to be on a course. I appreciate doing the online training in the evening after the physical course days. It may be that the practicing during the day is tough, and then something happens during the evening training. The combination of physical courses and online training is really good.”
“I think it’s really nice with the combination of physical courses and online training.”
“I think it’s been nice to see everyone again. Nice that the venue is outside of town, it’s a little quieter here. I think it’s a nice combination with the online training and physical courses.”
Calmer mind
“I thought it was nice to train this much together again. I’ve missed it. My circulation has improved and my mind has become a little calmer.”
Slept well
“Things fell into place so I could get on the course, it wasn’t obvious. I have had a good night’s sleep during the course, which I have not done for a long time. Thanks to the online training, I have coped with illness and grief and I am enormously grateful that I have the Qigong during trials in life. I never want to let go of training.”
Great course
“It’s been a great course. The longer courses are the best, I feel at my best on the course. Nice local and quiet area.”
Online training has been the salvation
“It’s been great with the physical course. My pain is significantly better now after three days on course. The whole family got covid and at the same time we had problems with our house, which led to chaos. In the end, it got better. The online training has been a salvation during this time and I am hugely grateful for Qigong.”
Good concentration
“I’ve felt some old ailments come back during the coronavirus. I have nevertheless found and cultivated a good concentration, I have enjoyed every movement. A feeling of being in training. I brought it into training yesterday (I was here for two days) which worked very well.”
Better after lumbago
“I liked this venue and the quit area. We’ve had a difficult time in the family but I’ve been able to let it go a little bit during the course. I’ve got back pain and it’s gotten better during the course, I can bend down deeper now.”
Migraine
“It has become clear to me during the corona that I need the longer courses. I’ve been able to keep migraines under control in the past thanks to them. I find it more difficult with the movements alone. I’m very grateful for the physical courses.”
Qi feels strong
“I think qi feels strong, it works deeply. It has opened up in my body and I feel improvements in my shoulders. Even though my concentration has been like that, it feels like the qi-field is entering my body. I’m very motivated now after losing a little bit during the pandemic. I had an emotional reaction yesterday that is linked to low self-esteem. But I was so nicely treated by several qigong friends who took an interest in me, which made me feel seen. I’ve been pretty lonely during the pandemic but felt a sense of community here on the course.”
Warm and good
“So great to meet again. I feel like we’re just picking up where we left off a couple of years ago. We were shaken when the pandemic came and new solutions for how to train needed to be put in place and we adapted. It’s so warm here and there’s a positivity, even though everyone is struggling with theirs. It’s different to what it’s like in my workplace, for example, where there’s a lot of negativity.”
