Eva got rid of her sinusitis

I really started to practise Qigong because my body was so stiff and my joints hurt. It was not rheumatism but the symptoms were similar. My shoulders hurt and I would get wryneck, so I would use some painkillers. I got rid of those things more or less on one Weekend Course. Now when I practise regularly I do not have any problems with my joints.

When I started to practise I usually had chronic sinusitis between two and four times a year. On every occasion I had to take antibiotics and have my sinuses flushed clear. When I joined my first Summer Course in 2001 I got very sick. I had inflammation with a high fever, and my face was quite puffed up. When I came home I was still swollen and for two weeks I had this greenish stuff coming out of my nose. I blew out great amounts – it felt as if half of my brain was coming out – there was such a lot of that stuff. After that I have not had any more sinusitis. Before when I would get a runny nose it always attacked my sinuses but it does not anymore. It disappeared completely and everybody told me that my face was lean.

In September last year I fell down a long flight of stairs and hurt my knees. The doctors punctured both knees. I felt especially bad about that because a week later I was going on a mountain tour in Lappland a week later. Back home I cried and felt angry about my bad luck because the doctors forbid me to travel and they said that I was to go on sick leave for a whole month. During that whole week I practised Shenxin Qigong at home and I felt so good that I wanted to go. It worked very well and I was able to participate in daily sixteen-mile walks in the mountains.

On every Summer Course my scoliosis has improved and my back has been straightened out step by step.

Qigong means a lot to me, it has made me much calmer, happier and more focused. Before I took rather a pessimistic view on things and I would lose my temper over trifles.
