Shenxin Qigong Pargas [2007-09-01]

It was the third year in a row that we held a Shenxin Qigong course in Pargas and Turku. The course has been popular since we started and in both the cities there are practicing groups that practice both Hold Qi up and Shenxin Qigong. Several persons wanted to repeat the course, but some beginners had also found extra motivation due to the practicing groups. They had practiced Hold Qi up but not Shenxin Qigong and were curious to see what that could give them.

During the Friday evening lecture some of the participants became much more alert and some of them also got rid of their flu symptoms. At the course the heat was turned on during the training, with a lot of Qi. This gave the participants increased vigor, higher spirits as well as warmer and more agile bodies. Several of the participants were very willing to practice and talked vividly about practicing groups and the Winter Course.

Healthy as a young girl

"It was a very powerful course. Shenxin Qigong is very effective. I have never felt the way I did after joining a Winter Course. Healthy as a young girl."

Good in the morning

"The first time I joined a Shenxin course it immediately felt nice. It suits my personality well. It feels good to practice Shenxin in the morning, it makes you wake up. If the back feels stiff it will get soft again almost immediately. I realize now how important it is to practice Snake Arm, so I will do that when I have a little extra time."

'Neural damage' in arm

"I have neural damage in my arm, and after the Summer Course last year I was able to quit my medication. During this course my arm was worked on a lot – so I'm satisfied."

Brisk and happy

"I have practiced some Qigong and got a lot of improvements. Despite this I have felt a little tired. But during this course I became brisk and very happy. I will practice Shenxin every morning from now on."

Grief and looking ahead

"Lately I've been stricken by several chocking experiences that have given me great grief. It's been incredibly hard and I don't think I would have made it if I hadn't practiced Qigong. I came here, although I was afraid that it was too early; that I wouldn't be able to cope with a crowd yet. Also I hadn't tried Shenxin Qigong before. It was hard, but in the evening after the first day it felt completely different. I got an incredibly nice feeling. It was wonderful. I'm very grateful for that. Now after the second day of the course I have even started looking ahead – in a small scale."

Agile body and stress tolerance

"Qigong makes my body agile. It has also increased my stress tolerance and I do not get so affected by other people's behavior – that includes my work as well as other situations."


"I can not find any other word to describe this than powerful. I practice other exercises too but this one is more powerful. In the past I have had a lot of help from Qigong, but now I noticed that my shoulders and neck aren't completely OK. Shenxin really hits the bull's eye."

Agile, stress tolerant and happy

"My friends ask me: Are you really going to join a Qigong course again? Don't you know that stuff already? But I learn new things at every course, and have my movements corrected. I have got good results; become more agile, softer and have better balance. It feels easier to do housecleaning and I can reach the floor. I also feel calmer and more stress tolerant. Practicing Qigong makes me cheerful."

Grateful and happy

"I feel grateful and happy. Earlier I was a little jealous of the others in my practicing group that were able to practice Shenxin Qigong, and now I know what they have been doing! I have had a lot of help from Qigong against pains in my arm and legs. My midsection has also become much better."


"Before I started to practice Qigong I had colds very often. Every month I suffered from something. I have become much better, in 6 years I didn't have any colds at all! But just before this course I got the flu. I wondered how I would manage at this course, but hoped that I would get better. Already at the lecture the flu started to let up. I have felt unusually energetic during this course and weekend. Shenxin is my favorite exercise, but I also practice Hold Qi up and think that the combination allows me to get more from my practice."


"Qigong has changed and improved my life in many different ways. I suffered lumbago a while ago. I called the doctor on a Friday to get an appointment, but it was impossible to get one before the weekend. On Monday I felt so good that I cancelled my appointment. I always learn something new at the courses and I'm happy and content."

Warm and very vigorous

"I got an immensely warm feeling that spread through my body. And I became very vigorous. Usually I'm too tired to watch a movie in the evening, but yesterday I watched one until half past eleven. Today I'm still vigorous and can keep calm."

After the course:

The grief feels lighter

"I'm very puzzled. I almost can't believe it, but I was able to sleep for 5 hours straight for the first time after this summers hardships. I was able to get up this morning without any problems. It feels like this weekend has helped me to move on."
