I work in a call centre and I am responsible for searching telephone numbers. Every working day I am sitting in the same position in front of a screen, which is causing pain in my neck and my shoulders. I talked to my work-leader about my problems, but it was not the first time he heard it and did not really want to listen. I kept on working, but in the end I was not able to raise my left arm. Seven years ago I was sick listed.<\/p>\n<p>First I took pills to reduce the inflammation, but the pills were bad for my stomach. I also tried cortisone, but this didn&#8217;t help either: I kept on being sick listed. I tried physiotherapy and a lot of other therapies, for example warm and cold compresses, osteopathy, acupuncture, but my right arm got worse and worse. Finally I had to go through an operation. By cutting pieces of osseous tissue, the surgeons succeeded in freeing the tensons in my right shoulder. I started physiotherapy again, but this time I felt that my left arm was getting worse so I thought there was no other choice than to wait for a new operation. I found two healers and I actually got better \u2013 but only temporarily. In the end my left arm was getting worse again and my neck was locked.<\/p>\n<p>Then I heard about a friend who had tried Qigong and who was going to join the summer course. I thought may be I should do it as well. I asked her what Qigong is and she answered that it basically is simple movements. Other people whom I asked also told me that the focus is on training easy and soft movements.<\/p>\n<p>So I joined the course and after two days my neck was much less strained. Now I can move my head the way I want. After five days I could feel that the pain in my shoulder was decreasing and the mobility in the joint was coming back.
